Body Composition & Fitness Analysis – Wegamed Fit Check

Advanced Body Composition & Fitness Analysis for sport

Fit Check is the fitness and sport version of the Wegamed Check Medical Elite, developed to provide detailed body composition analysis and personalised insights to support athletes, fitness professionals and coaches.
Using Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, Fit Check assesses selected body parameters and provides a detailed report that can be used to support individualised training, nutrition and fitness programmes. The assessment takes approximately 10 minutes and requires no needles or blood samples.

WHAT IS FIT CHECK?

Fit Check provides an in-depth look at body composition and muscle-related parameters, helping fitness professionals and athletes gain additional information when planning and monitoring physical training.
The system uses bioelectrical measurements to assess the body and generates an individual report with information that can support decisions around:

  • training intensity and structure
  • exercise planning
  • nutrition and hydration
  • recovery
  • fitness progression
  • body composition goals

Fit Check can also be used to monitor changes over time, making it possible to compare assessments and follow an individual’s progress as their training programme develops.

HOW FIT CHECK WORKS

The assessment is carried out using electrodes positioned on the head, hands and feet. The device applies low-level electrical signals and measures the body’s electrical response. The measurement takes approximately 10 minutes.
The collected data is processed by the Fit Check system to generate an individualised report containing body composition and fitness-related information.
This provides a convenient way for fitness professionals, coaches and athletes to obtain additional objective information to complement their existing assessment and training methods.

WHAT DOES FIT CHECK ANALYSE

Fit Check provides a range of individualised fitness, muscle, nutritional and body-related information that can be used to support personalised training and lifestyle planning. The assessment can provide insights into:

  • Muscle strength and organ relationships – identifies areas of muscle weakness and their relationship with different organs, providing additional information to consider when planning an individual’s training programme.
  • Fitness performance & training times – identifies the individual’s best and less favourable fitness times and provides information to support decisions about when and how to train.
  • Ideal heart rate – provides an individualised heart-rate range to help guide training intensity.
  • Acid-base balance – information relating to the body’s acid-base balance in the context of the Fit Check assessment.
  • BMI – provides information about the BMI as part of the overall fitness assessment.
  • Nutritional Status – provides information relating to nutritional status that can be considered alongside the individual’s training and lifestyle programme.
  • NEW: BCA – Body Composition Analysis – The new BCA function adds further body composition information to the Fit Check assessment, including parameters relating to body components, cell function and water distribution. This gives professionals additional information to consider when monitoring changes over time and developing personalised fitness and nutrition programmes.

YOUR INDIVIDUAL FIT CHECK REPORT

Following the assessment, Fit Check generates an individualised report designed to help the professional interpret the results and incorporate them into the client’s training and lifestyle programme. The report can provide information and recommendations relating to areas such as:

  • personalised training
  • training intensity
  • training duration
  • nutrition
  • hydration
  • recovery
  • fitness progression
  • body composition goals

Previous assessments can also be used to monitor changes over time, helping professionals follow an individual’s progress rather than relying on a single measurement.
