The Biological Age test

For many, the phrase “you are only as old as you feel” is a comforting statement, designed to emphasise positivity, vitality and a healthy approach to life.

But is there a deeper implication behind the words?

We are all familiar with the concept of chronological age; from birth, we age at a steady, fixed pace and use this age to estimate how healthy we “should” be. However, there is an obvious flaw here: our bodies are not fixed, rigid machines.

Beneath the surface, we have a complex interplay of bodily systems in a constant state of flux. Everything we do, see, eat, breathe and experience filters into the intricate cellular processes that make us, us. So, even though two people may have the exact same chronological age, their bodies may tell a different story.

This is the concept of biological age [1].

This is the reason why two people of the same age can differ greatly in their health, appearance and vitality. A biological age lower than your chronological age means your cellular and organ systems are well-supported, operating efficiently and appropriately for your chronological age. Conversely, if you feel fatigued, are frequently ill or simply don’t feel “right”, the issue may be with a biological age beyond your chronological age.

Calculating your patient’s biological age with a reliable biological age test can be the first step to revitalising their health. For many, it can provide answers to long-standing medical issues that have yet to be elucidated. There are many online calculators, but these (although fun!) lack precision.
